When you join the multidisciplinary team in our Worcestershire Out Of Hours (OOH) service, youre back in control. This is the perfect chance to use and develop all your skills and expertise as a General Practitioner, providing diagnosis, treatment, advice via face to face and telephone consultations and referrals to other healthcare resources, via primary care centres and home visits. You will also use our electronic prescribing system to effectively manage the patient. To do so, you will have use of GP Connect making patient records more easily accessibleto all appropriate clinicians when and where you need it. Likewise you will use GoodSam to review photographs and conduct video consultations to assist in providing the best quality care possible for our patients.
Our various Worcestershire Out-of-Hours service locations are in Worcester, Kidderminster, and Redditch. All of which offer the opportunity to conduct your face to face and triage sessions.
We are looking to add to our existing Self Employed employment options. Please note we are currently prioritising applications with Out of Hours and Adastra experience.
Main duties of the job
As a GP working in OOH, youll be treating patients face-to-face or via Telephone Triage with the flexibility to choose whether youd like to do this in one of our Primary Care Centres as a base shift, or at the patients own home as part of our home visiting shifts. The OOH service is open from 6.30pm 8am Monday Friday, and 24 hours over the weekends, with various shifts on offer between these times. About us
To be considered for this role, you need to:
- GMC registration certificate and inclusion on the GP Performers List with a valid CCT.
- Experience to confidently manage acute and chronic presentations for both adult and paediatric patients, with a proven ability to maintain and monitor high standards of care.
- Excellent listening and communication skills, with experience of urgent care assessment and good IT/keyboard skills.
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Experience in Out of Hours
