Job summary

The successful applicants will be based at County Hall, Glenfield, Leicester Successful candidates will be joining an ambitious and passionate team of clinical and administrative colleagues working within the Looked After Children and Child Protection medical service, working closely with colleagues across our Local Authorities partners.

Leading a team of administrators, the post holder will need to demonstrate strong leadership and motivational skills, supporting staff working across a number of workstreams.

The ability to work calmly under pressure is essential to the role as well as showing emotional resilience. skills and character to consistently deliver high quality care and work creatively at pace with colleagues with our CYP and families at the centre.

Main duties of the job

  • To provide comprehensive high level specialist administration support within the remit of the aligned team, service or Senior Manager.
  • Responsibility for work activities in own aligned area, the majority of which are nonroutine.
  • To lead, manage and develop the administration team within the area of responsibility, allocating and delegating work responsibilities, and monitoring performance in line with KPIs and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • To help the team or individual with time and daily management, including the scheduling of meetings/ clinics, correspondence, note taking, completion of actions and co-ordination of events and project work, ensuring that actions of self and others are completed within required deadlines.
