Main duties of the job
As a Senior Physiotherapist you will: Deliver high quality, effective clinical care. Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital The Exeter Nuffield hospital is based next to the NHS RD&E hospital in Wonford, Exeter. Exeter is a vibrant cathedral city in the heart of the beautiful county of Devon, situated on the river exe and only 10 miles from the coast. The hospital has 2 theatres, as well as a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory/theatre and an Endoscopy suite. There are two ward areas: an inpatient area with 21 beds and a day-case ward with 12 beds. We also have a busy outpatient department, health assessment service, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and radiology department including an MRI scanner. We specialise in elective orthopaedic and spinal surgery, cardiology including invasive procedures, general surgery, plastics and cosmetic surgery, ENT and gynaecology. The Hospital has a MAKO robot that undertakes some of the joint replacement surgery which we have become well known for.

Senior Physiotherapist - Pelvic Support Specialist Exeter Hospital | Physiotherapy | Permanent contract | Part time Up to £43,000 per annum (Pro rata), depending on experience 22.5 hours per week Our Physiotherapy team at Exeter Hospital currently have an opportunity for a Senior Physiotherapist specialising in Pelvic Health. This role will cover Pelvic Health specialist outpatients as well as the possibility for some involvement with musculoskeletal outpatients. Nuffield Health is Britain's largest not-for-profit healthcare organisation, as part of the team you will have clinical support available from our National Pelvic Health Lead and our large network of Pelvic Health physiotherapists as well as your Regional Physiotherapy lead, with leadership from the management team on site. You will have a CPD budget to encourage you to continue your learning and striving for clinical excellence. The Role We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Physiotherapist to join our Physiotherapy Team. You will see a range of pelvic health patients including urogynaecology, colorectal, pregnancy, postpartum and post-operative patients with a mixture of insurance and self-paying clients. You will develop close working relationships with the consultants at our hospital in Exeter to provide the patients with truly connected healthcare. The hospital is brilliantly placed to support and mentor the successful candidate for this role, alongside our academy training programmes. There is also scope for the inclusion of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy work if applicant is keen and has maintained professional development in this area. You will work within a multidisciplinary team including nurses, AHPs and consultants in order to optimise the health and recovery of our patients. As a Senior Physiotherapist you will:
Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
- Have a BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent and you'll be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
- Have completed the minimum of a Foundation level course in Pelvic health (POGP or Pelvic Health Academy) & be competent to carry out internal assessment of the pelvic floor.
Experience
Essential
- Ideally have 2 years' minimum experience in Women's Health managing presentations such as urinary dysfunction and pelvic organ prolapse.
- Experience in Men's Health would be an advantage.
- Have evidence of experience & further professional training in Pelvic Health and continual professional development, reflecting your desire to develop as a practitioner in this field.
- Have post qualification experience of musculoskeletal physiotherapy
- Ideally have experience of orthopaedic ward work
- Ideally have experience of both NHS and private healthcare services
- Pilates and Mummy MOT qualifications would be an advantage
