We have an opportunity for a Senior Radiographer to join their team of staff in the Imaging department. This role work across General X-ray and CT.

This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Our Imaging department has undergone extensive refurbishment, recently completed in 2025 which has seen state-of-the-art equipment installed and first-class for facilities for patients and employees alike.

Main duties of the job

  • To actively participate in the efficient and safe operation of the Imaging Department, providing a consistent, high quality service to all patients and visitors.
  • To carry out general and specialised radiographic procedures within their scope of competence as agreed with the Clinical Services Manager - Imaging / Clinical Lead to high technical and quality standards, assessing patients & interpreting clinical requirements to determine appropriate radiographic techniques.
  • Undertake imaging examinations in line with department operational procedures and policies, using techniques that produce the lowest radiation dose to the patient and staff whilst producing high quality, diagnostic images.
  • Practise good radiation, protection and safety and observe Local Rules and Systems of Work.

You comply with departmental IR(ME)R and Radiation Safety Policies & Procedures.

You participate in supervision, training and peer review within your area of competence / expertise.

You charge for all Imaging services in line with Charging Guidelines and fulfil all the charging / billing requirements of the hospital.

You comply with all Policies, SOP's and WI's relevant to your role.

You comply with all relevant mandatory and role-specific training as defined within Circle Health Group's mandatory training matrix.

WHAT DO YOU HAVE?

Previous experience working within the acute and/or independent healthcare sector.

Experience of customer care, including interacting with challenging customers and situations.

A Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography.

Health and care Professionals Council (HCPC) registration.

Clinical Imaging IT systems - Familiarity with PACS, RIS, IEP and Electronic Patient Records (EPR.)

Knowledge of the healthcare service sector and the systems and processes used.

Adherence to The Society and College of Radiographers (SCoR) Code of Professional Conduct and meet the HCPC's Standards of Proficiency for Radiographers.
