We are looking for a driven, passionate and experienced Occupational Therapist who is committed to delivering effective patient focused care. We are looking for someone who is attentive on the quality and development of clinical outcomes, as well as supporting the overall management and leadership of the Occupational Therapy service within the division.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate specialist skills which they will have developed over their career. The successful candidate will be expected to support the Lead Occupational Therapist and Senior OTs in driving the Occupational Therapy strategy forward; contributing to continual quality improvement and service development and innovation. They will also require the skills to role model and energise the workforce with a can do approach; understanding that the health and wellbeing of our staff is critical to the care and treatment of those using our service.

You will demonstrate good understanding of OT within secure services, including an application of risk assessment skills. Main duties of the job
The Person and Role
As an experienced registered OT, you would be joining a highly motivated, knowledgeable and innovative OT team. You will contribute to a multi-disciplinary team, taking responsibility for a clinical caseload, and offering OT specific assessment and treatment to groups and individuals within your care. Strong communication skills are essential, both written and verbal, with the ability to develop good professional relationships with members of the MDT.
Applicant requirements:
Minimum of 12 months experience as an occupational therapist.
Evidence of line management responsibilities
Willingness to continue to works to standards of proficiency identified by HCPC and regulatory bodies.
Deliver clinical treatments to a specialist standard and to enhance engagement outcome measures.
Experience working in DBT / low security / CAMHS service would be desirable.
Experience of sensory integration would be desirable but essential.
Evidence of supporting and development within quality assurance; continuous quality improvement projects, auditing, service development.
Continued professional development is encouraged, with access to a range of in-house CPD events, as well as an expectation to support the development and training of OT students.

Specialist Recovery
The division comprises of 6 inpatient units, 3 rehabilitation houses and a small community service spanning across low security, specialist rehabilitation, acute services and community facing services.This role will be focused on supporting our low secure service on Spencer North which is a 14 bedded ward for males aged 18-65 with mental health issuesand will have direct support and mentorship from the Highly Specialist OT in the team and will line manage the Technical Instructor currently working on the ward. Within the OT team we offer comprehensive treatment through the medium of meaningful occupation. Our aim is to equip patients with the life skills required to live a life worth living through improved health and wellbeing, independence, purpose and balance within their daily living
