Band 5: £29,970 - £36,483 per annum pro rata
Part-time 19.5 hours per week
A vacancy has now become available on the colorectal ward at Portsmouth University NHS Trust -the Queen Alexander Hospital. The team are looking for a highly experience colorectal nurse with minimum of five years experience within this specialty. Our service includes elective surgery as well as the emergency pathway. The team is currently junior, and the post holder will be required to work alongside to support them gaining the correct skills to support an ever-growing service.
E3 is a 34 bedded ward for colorectal surgery, but also covers general surgery which includes emergency admissions.

Job Summary:
- Ensuring high quality nursing care is coordinated and delivered using a family focused model of practice.
- Work as part of a cohesive multidisciplinary team ensuring patient care is delivered smoothly and efficiently.
- The expectations within this job description will be achieved through hands-on clinical practice, education and training and research.
- Applicant will need to have surgical nursing experience and an enhanced knowledge of colorectal procedures, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a surgical setting.

- Registered nurse with current NMC registration or registration pending
- Evidence of ongoing Professional Development
