Main duties of the job

As aTheatre Stores Administrator, you will:

  • Work closely with the Theatre team and Senior Staff to maintain adequate stock levels in the department.
  • Ensure accurate identification, recording, and management of all stock and equipment ordered and received.
  • Participate in the annual stock take to support efficient theatre operations.
  • Handle manual lifting in this heavy-lifting environment, with adherence to manual handling procedures.

Education and Qualifications

Essential

  • Good standard of general education
  • Good numeric and literacy skills

Desirable

  • GCSE Maths and English grade C or above, or equivalent

Experience/Knowledge

Essential

  • Experience working in a hospital stores environment
  • Experience of working with a computer
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, internet search engines and email

Desirable

  • NHS experience

Key Skills

Essential

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Good organisational skills
