Make Care Matter - because small things make a huge difference

If you want your career to involve doing something that people genuinely appreciate, whether you are an experienced carer or are looking to start a new career; we would love to hear from you!

We are currently looking for Relief Care Workers to join us at Kirkwood Hall based in Leyburn.

The role is one locality based, and whilst you will mainly be based at Kirkwood Hall you will have the opportunity to work in other facilities within the area on occasions.

Working in care, no two days are the same. Your role will be to deliver care and support plans whilst continuing to encourage people to remain independent and in control of their own well-being. Working as part of a small, supportive team, you will work under clear instructions and guidance from senior colleagues.

The positive impact you can make to the lives of others is invaluable. It will make a difference to your day because you're making a difference to theirs.

There is an element of flexibility required for the role and as part of a 7 day service, you will be required to work some evenings and weekends for which we will pay an enhancement. We could help you to achieve a better work life balance, perhaps enabling you to pursue other employment, hobbies or interests outside of work.

If you've got experience, that's great, we'd love to hear from you. If not, don't worry, we'll give you all the help and support you need to settle in quickly. If you do not already hold the Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care that isn't a problem we will support you to achieve this through our apprenticeship training route.

North Yorkshire Council provide a wide range of staff benefits, some of which include:

- Enhancement for weekend working / night working

- Generous holiday entitlement, increasing by length of service

- Starting salary dependent on experience and qualifications

- Training and support which will include minimum training to Level 2 in Social Care

- Competitive rate of pay with pay progression

- Access to range of salary sacrifice schemes and discounts including green car scheme, childcare vouchers and home
