We are looking for a fully qualified and experienced domestic electrician to join our in-house improvement team, carrying out maintenance, repair, and major refurbishment works within the Council's dwellings and empty properties whilst practicing safe working practices.
The role
As our experienced electrician, you will carry out essential maintenance, testing and inspection, installation, and fault-finding work, within the timescales, on our domestic dwellings as per the works order specification. You will work with a highly motivated and friendly team of like-minded tradespersons who are all committed to working together to refurbish our housing stock of empty homes to a good standard and carry out essential maintenance services within our tenanted homes ensuring electrical safety within our homes. You will be provided with a business van including all equipment to enable you to complete your tasks with the requirement to comply with vehicle use and maintenance.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing business that is moving forward within this field as new technologies arise through the energy efficiency market and learn new skills to help us achieve our goals.
We offer flexibility within our normal working pattern of Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 4 pm.
What you will bring:
It is essential to apply for this vacancy to have the following qualifications along with a good solid background experience working on domestic properties:
NVQ Level 2 & 3 Craft qualification in electrical installations
City & Guilds BS7671 Qualification 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations
City & Guilds Periodic Inspection & Testing (2391) or (2394 & 5)
