Job Description

Salary: £33,849 up to £36,469 per year (Grade 6)

Contract: Permanent, Full-time, 40 hours a week

Location: Area 3, Seamer Carr Hopper Hill Road, Scarborough, YO11 3YS

Looking for a challenging and varied role in highways maintenance? Due to continued growth, NY Highways are looking to welcome a Ganger, or Team Supervisor, to support our operations from our Seamer Depot.

You'll lead and direct a minimum 4-person team, overseeing maintenance and construction works across our sites in beautiful North Yorkshire.

Responsibilities include ensuring works are completed to specification and on schedule, managing supply chain partners, and conducting a range of skilled tasks such as installing kerb lines, drainage repairs, and footway construction. You'll also handle general maintenance duties, manage traffic, and operate relevant equipment for various routine and cyclical works.

This role involves participation in an out-of-hours call-out rota for emergencies and winter maintenance activities, and therefore desirable that the successful candidate hold a current Drivers Licence with access to personal transport.
