"Osmotherley Primary is a happy school. Pupils, including children in the early years, enjoy coming to school. They talk very positively about learning and lessons. They feel very safe because relationships between teachers and pupils are kind and caring."
"Behaviour in the school is strong. Several pupils told inspectors they 'love' the school."
Osmotherley Primary School is a small community school, set in the village of Osmotherley, on the edge of the beautiful North York Moors National Park. At our friendly school, all children are welcome and nurtured. It is a happy and safe place to learn, where children thrive and their love of school is reflected in their very high attendance. We have an exciting and engaging curriculum which has been carefully planned so that all children can access learning and build their knowledge together. We help children to be 'good learners' by developing their confidence, resilience and independence so that they are well-prepared for their next steps.
The staff at Osmotherley Primary School feel proud to work at this school and they are passionate about their roles. They are friendly and supportive of the children and each other. They are experienced but also happy to continue their own learning journeys and to take new ideas on board.
We would like to appoint an experienced and confident teaching assistant to work in our EYFS/KS1 class. The successful candidate will be expected to provide general classroom support to individuals and small groups of children, particularly in phonics and early reading. We are looking for someone to join our team who is positive, kind and passionate about supporting all children to learn and thrive.
In return we offer children who are delightful, well-behaved and eager to learn. We are also proud of the strong relationships we have with our parents and the wider local community.
We welcome visits from prospective candidates, to experience first-hand all that the role at Osmotherley Primary School has to offer.
Please contact our school administrator via email: osmotherley.ycatschools.co.uk to arrange a visit to school.
To apply, please send completed applications by Monday 21st April 2025 to osmotherley.ycatschools.co.uk
