Salary: £33,366 - £37,035 per annum

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Leaving Care Worker based in the Knaresborough Leaving Care Team. Do you have extensive experience of working with young people aged 16-25 leaving care and want to make a difference to the lives of young care leavers? Do you have experience of working with young people with complex needs and have experience of working within multi-agency services? If you answered yes to these, you may be the right person for this position.

You will join a dedicated team based in Knaresborough but also be part of a large County Wide team covering the whole of North Yorkshire. We are proud to be an outstanding Leaving Care Team and Local Authority and work in a strong, strength-based relationship practice.

You will manage a case load of young people between the ages of 16 and 25 years old. This will include reviewing and co-ordinating the young person's pathway plan, acting as an advocate for the young person when required, referring to other relevant services and always striving for the best outcomes for each young person whilst working flexibly to meet their needs.

You need to have a sound knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and follow procedures when required and be able to maintain appropriate records and management information. Please note, the job is Grade I, so please ensure that you meet the requirements for the grade I elements of the job description.Professional qualifications are desirable, not essential for the Grade I role.
