Salary: £13.05 per hour - £13.69 per hour

The cook is responsible for all activities in the kitchen and for the preparation and cooking of meals within Adult Social Care residential establishments.
Health and Adult services requires that staff offer the best level of service to all people who access support including fellow colleagues. Staff must ensure that each person is treated as an individual and with respect for their diversity, culture and values.
Be aware of, and implement, your health and safety responsibilities as an employee and where appropriate any additional specialist or managerial health and safety responsibilities as defined in the Health and Safety policy and procedure.Operational management
- Skilled cooking activities connected with the full range of meals, i.e. preparation of menus, portion control and the provision of special dietary meals where appropriate
- Record keeping, i.e. ordering of supplies
- Control of hygiene, health and safety in the kitchen
- Be aware of and implement your health and safety responsibilities as an employee and where appropriate any additional specialist or managerial health and safety responsibilities as defined in the Health and Safety policy and procedure
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision and within defined Budgets
- Must have understanding of Food Hygiene and other Health and Safety issues relevant to the post.
