Hours: Full Time

Location: Hybrid - Work from home or from our office location in Malton with an expectation of attending the NYBCP Head Office at Easingwold when required.

About Us

As the UK's first Local Authority Building Control Partnership, we are proud to offer a flexible and modern building control service on behalf of North Yorkshire Council. We handle a wide range of applications under the Building Act 1984, including building regulations, dangerous structures, and demolition notifications. With a wealth of experience across all construction types and techniques, we foster an environment of innovation and collaboration.

The Role

As a Building Control Surveyor, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring buildings in North Yorkshire meet the highest regulatory standards in safety, sustainability, accessibility, and design. Working within a professional and supportive team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Conducting site inspections and plan assessments to check compliance with regulations.
  • Supporting enforcement actions to ensure the council meets its obligations under the Building Act and related legislation.
  • Maintaining a strong performance culture with a focus on service excellence and customer satisfaction.
