Salary: £31,650 - £43,607 per annum

Grade: MPS 1-4

Contract: Temporary April 2025 to February 2026 (exact date tbc)

Burneston CE VA Primary School and its governing body are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and inspirational teacher to work in our EYFS/KS1 team to cover a maternity leave in summer and autumn term. You will work alongside our class teachers in a supportive team. The role is initially for one year. ECT applicants are very welcome to apply, we have strong mentor and tutor support in school to further your development.

We are a small village Church of England primary school, just outside Bedale, with 113 happy children on roll. We are a strong team of committed and talented staff, led by strong governors, and with supportive, engaged families. Our school life revolves around our 'Celebrate, Collaborate, Pollinate' ethos.

-Someone who can work well with other teachers in partnership to give the best possible education to every individual.

-An exceptional classroom teacher with an excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum, particularly for EYFS/Y1 (Development Matters, Early Learning Goals, Phonics)

-A teacher with high expectations of themselves and of children's achievements, attainment and behaviour

-A hard working person who is driven and adaptable to change

-Someone who will work with a genuine child centred approach

-A teacher who puts the children at the heart of all that they do

-A strong communicator with the ability to work as part of a team
