We have an opportunity to join our mobile team where you will be providing tasty, nutritious meals made from locally sourced produce.

NYES is a 'fresh food' organisation encouraging children and young people to choose nutritious meals. We are proud to offer a wide choice of healthy options to our children encouraging them to eat well and fuelling their appetite for learning.

We are recruiting a Mobile Cook to join our mobile team covering the Northallerton, Thirsk, Ripon area fixed term for one year, where you would be covering absences in kitchens or giving extra support where needed.

You could be making a positive difference to our service and the experience of the pupils. NYES Catering has a large supportive network of staff and we are striving to continue to grow our network to be able to support all our schools.

You would work for 25 hours per week, starting roughly at 8.30/9:00pm, depending on which school you would be covering and finishing at the latest 13:30/14:00pm. The role comes with some flexibility of timings depending on the daily requirements.

You would support our team with a variety of catering tasks from preparing, cooking, baking, to setting up and clearing away the dining hall, to serving pupils to washing up.

You would work term time only and be paid £13.05 - £13.69 per hour, however we would spread your salary over 12 equal monthly payments.

For this role you will require a full driving licence, access to a car and business use insurance.

For your travel you will be paid mileage at £0.45 per mile for and you will be paid for your travelling time as this would be classed as part of your working day.
