We have a vacancy for an Assistant Care Manager at Westview Children's Home, a Nottinghamshire County Council Children's Home. The role will be supported by the Registered Care Manager who works in the home.

You will receive a complete induction and be mentored by the Home Manager to fulfil this role.

The Manager and Assistant Care Manager will lead a team supporting children, who have experienced trauma and adverse childhood experiences to help them achieve their full potential within a nurturing, caring environment.

The job role will include assisting in the completion of each child's care plans, in line with Ofsted regulations and the Quality Standards. You will be required to be involved with the recruitment of staff, training & developing the team, daily operational matters, reflective supervisions and take a lead role in being a positive role model across the service.

Children's homes are a 24 hour a day service. You will therefore be required to work some shifts and be a part of the on-call rota for NCC Residential Homes. Enhancements are paid for weekends, bank holidays and on call requirements.

You are required to have 12 months experience in residential Childcare setting and have completed the diploma level 3 in Residential Childcare, you are required to undertake the level 5 within 6 months of being recruited.

You will join our amazing team of managers in our group homes and build on our determination to work hard to meet the needs of children and ensure they develop, achieve and be the best they possibly can be.
