About Us
The North Adult Social Care Team works with people between the ages of 18+ who are eligible for support under the Care Act 2014. We are looking to appoint new staff members who have a genuine passion for improving people's life by maximising their own and community's potential. We are a team made up from Coordinators, Occupational Therapists and Social Workers. Over past years, we have built a team that is resilient and creates unique opportunities for professional development across Oxfordshire County Council.
About the Role
This post is based in Adult Social Care, within the North locality, covering Banbury and surrounding villages. We are looking for a enthusiastic person who is keen to work collaboratively across Adult Social Care, Health and other partner agencies to achieve great changes in our community. We are proud to support our residents through a strength-based approach that creates opportunities, builds resilience and develops long-term support networks so that people we support can live their lives as successfully, independently and as safely as possible.
The post holder will receive full training through specially developed Coordinator's Competency Framework training programme to deliver holistic strength-based interventions that explore equally people's social circumstances and their physical abilities. After successful completion of the framework, there are opportunities for Coordinators to be supported in undertaking apprenticeship or professional qualifications in either Social Work or Occupational Therapy. Thanks to our unique inhouse training, support is always at hand, so passion and enthusiasm to work with people and bring a change is a key.
The role requires successful candidate to visit people's houses around Oxfordshire, to undertake holistic assessments of individual needs, while also completing written reports and facilitating best support arrangements via available options.

In line with County Council policy, we also offer a relocation package up to a maximum of £8,000 to cover reimbursement of expenses for newly appointed employees who need to move home to take a job with Oxfordshire County Council (conditions apply).
