Job Introduction
About Us
The Hard FM team are responsible for the repairs and maintenance of the Oxfordshire County Council buildings. we have a team of mobile engineers carrying out repairs, as well as planned maintenance.
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and versatile Fabric Technician with experience in general maintenance to work on the OCC sites around Oxfordshire. The work is varied and so being able to adapt to different types of buildings and tasks is important. You would be provided with a vehicle to carry out the work, and the hours are 37 hours a week.
The role would include:
- Carpentry work
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
- General maintenance and repairs as required
- Ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard
- Responding to reactive maintenance requests in a timely manner.
To maintain our high standards of customer care, accuracy, safety and effectiveness in all work tasks and a mature disciplined approach to the duties.
About You
You would need to hold a full drivers licence, and have a good knowledge of Oxfordshire, Also good communication skills and be able to operate hand hold electronic devices and some use of laptops.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in carpentry, and general maintenance.
- Relevant trade qualifications
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer-focused approach
