The County Council is responsible for determining planning applications for minerals and waste development and its schemes. Through planning new development, we support growth whilst protecting the environment.
About the Role
We are looking for a experienced Planning Officer to work on planning applications for the council's own developments and minerals and waste development. This role is in the Development Management team, and the successful candidate will be responsible for processing planning applications and providing related pre-application engagement including preparation of Screening and Scoping Opinions.
The office location is County Hall in Oxford, however attendance in the office is not necessary on a day-to-day basis as we support agile working.
About you
You will have a degree or significant experience of Town and Country Planning or a related field and a sound working knowledge of relevant planning legislation. You will be able to interpret maps and plans and work to deadlines.
