Job Description
Over the past three years Pavers has grown almost 50% and as part of this expansion we are looking for a permanent full time Warehouse Team Manager to join us at our Distribution Centre/Warehouse at Northminster Business Park in York, to help further drive this growth and support the running of a smooth operation whilst inspiring their team to do the best they can.

The role of Warehouse Team Manager
You'll lead a team of approximately 10-25 operatives alongside a pier group of other Warehouse Team Managers with similar sized teams, reporting into the Day Shift Manager. The overall team is over 100 people, all of whom collectively deal with 250,000 units coming in and out of the Warehouse on a weekly basis.
You'll have line manager responsibilities for your team including, but not limited to; coaching and developing your team, inspiring your team to meet & beat their KPI's/targets whilst keeping an eye on key operational goals, performance management and spotting opportunities for efficiencies, whilst always maintaining a safe working environment. The key areas are pick rate, packing rate, Home Shopping dispatch and out of stock volumes.
The warehouse is a key strategic player in our company, it's a fast paced environment and there'll be no problem getting you steps in as our Warehouse is over 100,000 sq feet! You'll ensure our customers and stores get the right products in the right place at the right time.
You will be contracted to work 40 hours per week on a rolling 3-week pattern:
- 2 weeks of 6am to 2.30pm Monday to Friday shifts.
- 1 week of 11am to 7.30pm Monday to Friday shifts.
- Working one week / weekend from 1.30pm - 10pm in every 10 weeks

About You:
You'll need to be a team player with strong proven people management skills, who knows how to get the best out of your teams in a nurturing and positive way. Our people are very much the heart of the business, and you'll need to be able to engage and drive performance, whilst coaching and developing your team.
- Previous Warehouse Management/Supervisory experience including performance management
- Good level of physical fitness
- Have a continuous improvement mentality with a coaching style
- Track record of H&S Compliance and focus on the end customer
- Be used to meeting and exceeding operational targets/KPI's
- Strong communication skills with a 'can do' approach
