QUALIFIED SOCIAL WORKER PAY SCALE: GRADE 11 (£38,626 - £42,708) (GRADE 9 (£34,314) NEWLY QUALIFIED ASYE) CONTRACT TYPE - FULL TIME 37HRS LOCATION - CENTRAL ASC TEAM, SHREWSBURY Shropshire Council is a unitary authority which serves the rural county of Shropshire. About the role We are currently recruiting a Qualified Social Worker or a practitioner who is about to qualify to join our Central Community Adult Social Work Team. The post is currently based at Guildhall, Frankwell, Shrewsbury. The team support adults either with a physical disability or frail/elderly within Shrewsbury and the surrounding Central Shropshire area. The post is permanent and is currently 37 hours but there may be some flexibility either way regarding total hours. About you: The successful candidate will have recent experience working in Adult Social Care. This post will provide an excellent opportunity for a Social Worker to develop their skills and knowledge and join a friendly and supportive team. Ideally the applicant will be two years post qualified however we will consider applications from Newly Qualified Social Workers and social Work students in their final year of study. We are able to support you through your Assessed Year in Supported Employment through Shropshire's fantastic ASYE programme. We offer an excellent programme of professional development, supervision and training and welcome applications from newly qualified Social Workers. We are seeking to recruit a well-motivated and creative practitioner who is able to develop the strengths of individuals and maximise their independence utilising community resources and is an excellent team player.
