Job Description
Some key information
- Flexible hybrid working, with days in Council offices across Somerset when required
- 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)
- Permanent contract, 37 hours per week.
What will I be doing?
We're working to improve the lives of people in Somerset - and you'll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:
- To cover various aspects of estate management functions of the Corporate and Commercial estate, including transactions relating to licences, wayleaves, easements, under the supervision of the Estate Surveyor.
- Arranging viewings and access for the Commercial leased estate and wider landholdings.
- Co-ordinating with various internal and external stakeholders and the general public on all estate matters, triaging enquiries and issuing responses, or logging and allocating cases as appropriate.
- The role will include statutory administration of estate related functions, along with various administration duties
- The role will require frequent travel across Somerset, with lone working subject to risk assessments.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you:
- Understanding of estate management principles and practices.
- Knowledge of statutory regulations relating to service area and related functions.
- Experience working within an estate management field.
- A level qualification or equivalent in business administration or a related field.
- Demonstrate an aptitude for learning and the ability to develop technical skills and areas of knowledge.
