This role offers

  • £47,754 (plus recruitment allowance of £3,000).
  • 33 days' annual leave (plus bank holidays)
  • A role within a small, supportive team
  • The post can be considered on whole or part time basis. (Salary and annual leave will pro-rata accordingly)

What will I be doing?

The Council has a portfolio of a range of properties which deliver services for the people of Somerset and include leisure centres, depots, offices and commercial estates and you'll be a key part of the team managing the estate. You will undertake statutory, accounting and commercial valuations as applicable; provides professional real estate advice to senior managers and client departments. You will also help out with professional matters on other parts of the Estate as required.

Travel to sites across Somerset will be required, with hybrid office and home working as standard.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But this role requires:

  • MRICS or AssocRICS qualification.
  • Experience of managing wide ranging caseloads, including supervision of more junior staff
  • Experience of advising stakeholders and clients on complex/specialist issues relating to role
  • Comprehensive knowledge of statutory regulations relating to service area and related functions
  • Previous experience in a Local Government/Public Sector role would be desirable.

The salary for this role is Grade 8, £50,754 per annum (remuneration package includes a £3,000 recruitment allowance per annum)
