Vehicle Pricing Analyst

We are looking for a Vehicle Pricing Analyst to join our team and play a crucial role in enhancing our pricing strategy.

You will be responsible for analysing vast amounts of market and stock data, identifying trends, and making daily recommendations to key senior stakeholders. Your insights will directly impact stock pricing, purchasing decisions, and overall profitability.

This is a high-impact role that requires an exceptional analytical mindset, strong commercial awareness, and the ability to present complex data in a clear and actionable way.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse internal stock data, competitor pricing, and wider market trends to ensure our vehicle pricing remains competitive and optimised for profitability.
• Track vehicle performance, pricing trends, and market fluctuations.
• Provide daily recommendations to key senior stakeholders, Divisional Directors, and Used Car Teams.
• Work closely with internal teams, including Sales, Purchasing, and Marketing, to drive data-led decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to enhance stock turn, margin, and pricing strategies using data-driven insights.
• Develop and refine predictive models to anticipate market changes and demand fluctuations.
• Continuously improve data collection, analysis, and reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Present findings and strategic recommendations in a clear, concise, and compelling manner to influence key business decisions.

What We're Looking For

• Exceptional data analysis skills - highly proficient in manipulating large datasets using Excel, SQL, or BI tools (such as Power BI).
• Strong commercial awareness - understands the factors influencing the automotive market and how pricing impacts sales, profitability, and stock management.
• Advanced problem-solving abilities - able to interpret complex data, extract key insights, and make sound recommendations.
• Technical proficiency - experience with data analysis tools, scripting languages (e.g., Python, R), or pricing software is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills - ability to present findings clearly and persuasively to senior stakeholders with varying levels of technical expertise.
• Self-motivated and proactive - thrives in a fast-paced environment with daily decision-making responsibilities.
• Experience in automotive pricing or a related analytical role is highly desirable but not essential.
