Your ability to provide technical advice, carry out inspections, and manage risks makes you an integral part of the Property and Building Services division.

What the job involves

As a Building Maintenance Officer, you will undertake planned maintenance and minor capital work projects. Your responsibilities include developing design briefs, conducting condition surveys, managing project delivery, and ensuring compliance with legislation like the Construction Design and Management (CDM) regulations. You will respond to reactive maintenance needs, prepare surveys and reports, and advise on remedial work after damage from incidents such as vandalism or storms. Collaborating closely with various stakeholders, you will ensure that projects are delivered efficiently and meet the Council's strategic outcomes.
