Job Description
Who You Are
A professional with a Higher National Diploma in Building Studies or an equivalent formal qualification, possessing extensive experience in the direct management of surveyors for commercial property portfolios. You have significant experience as a Chartered Construction Manager or Chartered Building Engineer and have worked directly on commercial properties. You thrive in a large corporate, civil service, or local government office environment, taking projects from feasibility and design through to completion.
What the Job Involves
A role that entails managing and leading all allocated building works and project aspects under the guidance of a Senior Building Surveyor. This includes planning, review, and development to meet the annual requirements of the Council's corporate repairs, allotted projects, and capital programmes. You will ensure the delivery of the full range of duties on allocated works, including major new build and/or refurbishment projects, planned maintenance, and other revenue and capital-funded projects. Responsibilities also include stakeholder consultation, brief agreement, feasibility presentations, option appraisals, scheme design, budget estimates, and spend profile projections.
