A degree or diploma in business administration is desirable, alongside experience working within a project team or within local government or economic development sectors.
What the Job Involves
This role offers an exciting opportunity to be a part of West Sussex County Council's Economic Growth Team, focusing on evidence-led economic initiatives and projects tailored to the region's needs and opportunities. As a Support Officer, you will contribute significantly to delivering various new projects, including working on the West Sussex Economic Growth Board (WSEGB) and the Connect to Work program. Your responsibilities will include coordinating key meetings, setting agendas, preparing presentation materials, and taking minutes. You will also handle communication activities, manage WSEGB inquiries, and develop strategic project plans, logs, and risk registers to ensure timely project delivery. By maintaining databases and preparing reports, you will support the Economic Development Managers and contribute to the wider objectives of the Economic Growth Business Plan. This hybrid role requires attendance at the Chichester office twice a week and leverages your capability to handle confidential information efficiently.
