We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Damp, Mould & Condensation Manager to join the team. This role will serve as the strategic lead in preventing damp, mould, and condensation in our residents' homes.

Reporting to the Head of Disrepair, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, and industry standards. You will bring strong technical leadership to colleagues, spearhead proactive and preventative measures to address damp and mould issues, conduct inspections, and diagnose the most challenging and complex cases.

You will possess strong technical knowledge of the causes, prevention, and resolution of damp, mould, and condensation issues. Additionally, you will demonstrate the rigour and determination to ensure our homes remain safe, warm, and dry for our residents.

You will also be able to demonstrate the following:

Essential skills & experience:

  • Good knowledge of The Social Housing (Regulation) Act 2023 (Awaab's Law)
  • Up to date knowledge of building maintenance, Decent Homes Standards, Health & Safety, and Building Safety legislation.
  • Strong technical knowledge of the causes of DMC in residential property and prevention and resolution of DMC.
  • Experience engaging with and communicating with residents in a social housing or other relevant context.
  • Experience of leading, managing, developing and motivating operational teams.
  • Experience of repairs management information systems.

Essential qualifications:

  • Educated to Level 4 in Surveying or Construction & Built Environment or equivalent.
  • A technical qualification (trade NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent experience).

Desirable qualifications:

  • Certified Surveyor of Timber & Dampness in Buildings (CSTDB) and Certified Surveyor of Dampness in Buildings (CSDB)
  • RICS Expert Witness Certificate
  • A recognised Leadership and Management qualification.
