Roles & Responsibilities
Electrical Engineer Location: THORPE PARK Resort, KT16 8PNHours: Open Season (March-Nov): 7 on 4 off, then 7 on 3 off shift pattern with split shifts. Closed Season (Nov-Mar) Monday-FridaySalary: £42,000 - £45,000 skill-set and experience dependant; bonus; Merlin Magic Pass - 20 free tickets to all Merlin attractions worldwide, rising to 40 after a year's service

What the job of the electrical engineer involves;
We are currently recruiting for An Electrical Engineer at the home of thrilling rides, attractions, live events & a themed hotel; THORPE PARK Resort is the ultimate destination for thrill seekers, featuring some of the UK's most popular roller coasters and amusement park rides. Reporting into an Engineering Team Leader, as one of our Electrical Engineers you will keep our Rides and Attractions and PLC control equipment within the park, to a high standard of safety and efficiency. You will also fully participate in the execution and planning of the annual winter PPM and certification programme, including all associated record keeping as required by HSE guidance notes and statutory requirements.
Qualification & Experience
We are looking for the following skills and experience;
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an Electrical/Electronic Engineering discipline
- Thorough understanding of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
- Ability to read and use engineering drawings
- Strong diagnostic skills
- Knowledge of AC/DC drives and their associated motors or pumps, including inverters
- Experience of fault finding and use of programmable logic controls (PLC's) such as; Siemens, Omron, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi.
- Experience of working within a heavy industrial/automated environment such as; FMCG, Manufacturing, Logistics, Airport or Theme Park
