Breakfast and After School Club Assistant Grade 3 Term Time only, Permanent Contract Our busy Breakfast and After School club runs from 07:30 to 08:30 and 15:00 to 18:00 every day, during term time, and offers home from home care for children at Brook Infant School, Maidenbower Infant School and Maidenbower Junior School. We welcome all children from the age of two through to those in Year 6 and provide an exciting range of activities and themed days for all, from cooking, sports, woodland adventures as well as games, construction, crafts and so much more. We are looking for an extra-ordinary individual who has the drive and the enthusiasm to join our team and continue to nurture and further develop our amazing club. As we take children from as young as two, ideally the applicant will hold an early years qualification and have experience of working with this age group. However, we can provide Apprenticeship opportunities for anyone without this qualification or those wishing to study at a higher level. This is 20 hours per week, term time only, Grade 3, 12.45 an hour plus Crawley weighting. The hours will be from 07:30 to 08:30 and 14:45 to 17:45 Monday to Friday. Occasionally there will be a need to work to 09.00 if needed for walking bus. The post holder will be required to be able to lift tables and resources. Part of the role includes walking to and from nearby schools. Work will be inside and outside. We are looking for someone with: NVQ Level 2, 3 or equivalent in Early Years or willing to work towards this qualification. A passion for working with children of different ages. Recent experience of working with children aged 2-11 preferably. Good organisational and communication skills. A commitment to the safeguarding of children. The ability to use ICT effectively.
