Join us as a Data and Information Officer within our friendly and supportive Adults' Services Systems and Information Team (ASSIT). The role sits within the Information and Involvement sub-team which manages involvement, co-production and the provision of a wide range of high-quality information and advice, whilst meeting the County Council's statutory duties as outlined in the Care Act 2014 and other legislation, for example, the Data Protection Act 2018, the Accessible Information Standard and the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

The varied role will provide opportunities to be involved in a range of areas including creating and maintaining online information, working with customers and carers to improve services, ensuring people receive information in a format that they can access, and supporting with promotions of key initiatives to members of the public.

About The Job

Salary: £31,586 to £34,314 per annum Working Pattern: Full time, 37 hours per week Contract Type: Permanent Location: Chichester office base with opportunities for hybrid and flexible working To succeed as a Data and Information Officer, it's important that you are a strong communicator who has the ability to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including people with social care needs and carers.

This role will support Adults' Services in meeting its legislative duties under the Care Act 2014, specifically Parts 1 and 4 relating to 'Promoting individual wellbeing' and 'Providing information and advice' and the Equality Act 2010. You will be competent in writing, editing and proof-reading text for a range of audiences and platforms, and have an understanding of how to tailor communications accordingly.

Good initiative and prioritising skills are vital to help you organise and manage your own work in a busy environment.

Experience and Skills

Key skills (these are the shortlisting criteria please cover how you meet each point within your application):

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to research and analyse data from a variety of sources and produce a range of written information and reporting with minimal guidance.
  • Highly computer literate with sound IT skills in order to manipulate data and produce reports, for example spreadsheets, databases etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present analysis and findings clearly, concisely and accurately to a range of audiences in ways that promote understanding.
  • Ability to anticipate problems and escalate issues, planning solutions and recommending sound pragmatic solutions which will have a direct impact on the business/service, and meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Ability to organise, prioritise and plan own workload to meet deadlines and targets.
  • Ability to create and maintain effective working relationships in order to interact effectively with a range of internal and external partners, including people with social care needs and carers.
