The specialist 24-hour AMHP (Approved Mental Health Professional) Hub service providing the support for the Approved Mental Health Professionals and other colleagues in the mental health service who support people experiencing an acute mental health crisis. The team is made up of specialist workers who are trained to undertake mental health act assessments and consider whether they may need a psychiatric inpatient admission to hospital.

An opportunity has arisen within the Quality, Practice & Service Development team to focusing on Mental Health to lead on the delivery of quality assurance. The Mental Health Quality assurance lead is both , innovative and dynamic. Working within operational services to provide the focus needed to ensure there is learning from audit measures to build on service delivery . You will have been or are currently a BIA and/or AMHP with experience of governance and the ability to promote support and guide operational teams. About The Job
Salary: £58,131 to £61,445 per annum Working Pattern: Full time Contract Type: Permanent Location: Worthing Interview Date: Friday 11th April
This role is integral to ensuring high-quality service delivery within Mental Health Services by: Supporting the Caldicott Guardian in investigating information security breaches involving Adults' Services employees. Assisting the Mental Health Operational Service in responding to Local Government Ombudsman investigations and embedding lessons learned into practice. Leading on complex serious incident reviews and rapid learning reviews Embedding the Quality Assurance Framework to support the wider Adults' Services strategy. Developing and maintaining Mental Health-related policies and practice guidance, engaging with key external partners such as the ICB and the Mental Health Trust. Ensuring relevant data and information are considered in Mental Health Quality Assurance Group meetings. Supporting the Quality Practice and Service Development Team with operational requirements, collaborating with Quality Assurance leads across Adult Services.
We are looking for an experienced professional with: Strong knowledge of quality assurance frameworks and policy development Experience conducting serious incident reviews and embedding learning into service improvements. The ability to work collaboratively with external partners, carers, and internal teams. A strategic and analytical mindset

To be considered for this role you are required to have the following:
• Professional qualification in Social Work, Occupational Therapy or other relevant social care experience. • Post graduate professional qualification relevant either to management or to the professional service specialism of Mental Health social care; or equivalent level of significant experience demonstrating comprehensive application of the above levels of knowledge in a relevant setting. • Expert specialist, theoretical knowledge relating to Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act legislation • Wider understanding of adult social care legislation and quality assurance standards to support and advise the team. • Experience of leading and influencing staff. • Awareness of budgetary constraints and contribution to financial related decisions. • Approved Mental Health Professional or Best Interest Assessor qualification (currently practicing in the role, or recent experience of the role.)
