Job Description

We're looking for someone who is passionate about building strong relationships, coordinating projects, and providing exceptional support to the Community, Wellbeing and Safety Team.

Salary: £26,409 to £27,711 per annum

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract until April 2026. Final end date will be confirmed.

Working Pattern: Full-time (37 hours per week) Monday to Friday

Location: Your base location will be County Hall, West Street, Chichester, PO19 1RQ. You will be required to engage in countywide travel and working.

Interview Date: week commencing 07 April 2025

This role offers hybrid working arrangements and will require you to work from county council office buildings and make regular site visits across the county, as well as the flexibility of home working as appropriate. Final arrangements to be confirmed with successful candidate.

You will need to be able to travel independently around the county, including to areas that may not be easily accessible by public transport. Pool cars and pool bikes available.

About The Job

In this role, any given day can often feel quite different from the next! As a Partnership Support Assistant you will effectively carry out a full range of support to the Community, Wellbeing and Safety Team.

There will be some key responsibilities likely to feature in this role, including providing a full and efficient administrative support service: including assistance to projects and work relating to the development of the service, contributing to projects and reviews, generating new ideas and solutions, and challenging existing practices.

You will work collaboratively to ensure that various administrative tasks to a high standard within agreed deadlines including:

  • Event planning, internal and external communications (including social media).
  • Training and presentation resource preparation and campaigns.
  • Monitoring and managing team in-boxes and calendars.
  • Research tasks, data, and file management, and supporting colleagues in meetings.

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • BTEC Higher or equivalent qualification or experience demonstrating level of applied knowledge in providing an administration/service development service.
  • Strong communication skills, with the capacity to confident build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Sound and accurate IT knowledge, with the capability to conduct research, analyse documents, present data, and perform general administrative tasks.
  • A flexible approach: able to adapt to change and demonstrate flexibility in addressing the needs of the service.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities: focussing on anticipating challenges and independently resolving issues, planning effective solutions, and making sound, pragmatic decisions that will directly impact the quality of service.
