We are looking for a Process Improvement Analyst to join our Highways, Transport and Planning directorate. Your analytical skills will be key in using data-driven insights to streamline operations and enhance overall performance.

Salary: £31,586 to £34,314 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Pattern: Full-time (37 hours per week)

Location: County Hall, West Street, Chichester, PO19 1RQ (Hybrid and Flexible Working)

Interview Date: 22 April 2025 to 25 April 2025

The role will offer hybrid working arrangements where the preference will be 2 days per week based at a County Council Building and 3 days working from home. Final arrangements to be confirmed with successful candidate.

About the Job

As a Process Improvement Analyst, you will work to enhance services by utilizing the Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, and Control (DMAIC) framework, performing analysis through Power BI and process mapping.

Any given day can often feel quite different from the next! There will be some key responsibilities likely to feature in this role, including:

  • Developing design methodologies for approval and provide guidance on the selection and development of qualitative and quantitative research and consultation activities.
  • Researching, analysing, and interpreting complex statistical information, and conduct both qualitative and quantitative analyses of data using analytical software to derive insights and formulate meaningful conclusions and recommendations.
  • Facilitate research projects, initiatives and consultation exercises.
  • Engaging in communication and consultation to establish positive working relationships with managers, partner organisations, colleagues, and members of the public as necessary.
  • Working as a subject matter expert: providing clear and concise specialised advice and guidance, contributing to training sessions related to business processes.

We would love to hear from you if you have

  • Relevant degree, or equivalent qualification or experience demonstrating that level of applied knowledge in data management, analysis and report writing.
  • Experience in using Power BI to create informative graphs/tables.
  • Strong communication skills, with the capacity to confident build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in conducting complex statistical analyses and presenting findings to diverse audiences.
  • High IT competency in the use of major computerised systems to effectively manipulate complex data and generate reports.
