Temporary until July 2025 with the possibility of extending beyond this, subject to numbers of pupils with additional needs on roll. We are looking forward to employing an SEN Support Assistant to facilitate and develop the play and learning of some of our children with additional learning and medical needs. Your role will be to ensure that they have full and safe access to all learning opportunities within our free-flow environment and are supported in their learning and development. The hours will be 9am 1pm daily, to include supporting our children at lunchtime each day. There is also the flexibility to add bank staff hours to this to increase the number of working hours. The post will be initially until the end of the Summer Term 2025 though there may be the opportunity to extend the role beyond this, depending on the numbers of children with additional needs. Applicants will be reliable, adaptable and committed, with a real love of working with young children and supporting their learning through play. Previous experience of working with young children is essential, particularly children with special educational needs. Experience in supporting children with medical conditions and healthcare needs would be an advantage.
