The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher, their role being to support inclusivity, group work and also to work with individual pupils under the direction of the teacher. This Teaching Assistant role will be combined with an additional 30 minutes per day Mid-day meal assistance: the duties for this might include supporting children whilst they eat their hot meals and packed lunches, organising furniture and supervising children at play and socially. Whilst experience would be useful, our priority is to appoint someone who relates well to children, is enthusiastic about learning, and who will work well in our team, contributing fully to the life of our school. The successful candidate will be required to carry out a variety of duties in addition to assisting in the classroom under the direction of the Class Teachers. Candidates must be confident in basic maths and literacy, as well as being able to motivate and communicate well with children. Applicants will be positive, supportive of the schools Christian ethos and be willing to work as part of a flexible team. A current First Aid certificate or a willingness to undertake training would be advantageous.
