The Growth Hub service provides free guidance, support and signposting for local people who want to start or grow a business.

As a Business Navigator in the Growth Hub, you will deliver proactive information, advice and guidance to support local businesses across Swindon and Wiltshire to achieve their ambitions. You will also create, design and produce tailored communications across media for both internal and external stakeholders, as well as raise awareness of sustainable business practices, promoting environmentally friendly methods.

We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication skills, who is confident in providing advice, delivering presentations, and preparing reports. Knowledge of relevant policies and legislation is advantageous but not essential as is subject matter expertise in business finance, marketing or legal. Experience running a business or working in an SME environment would also be beneficial.

Your substantive manager must agree to you transferring to the secondment role. This agreement must be sought in principle before applying for the seconded role. If the secondment will impact significantly on service delivery, your substantive manager may not agree to the secondment.
