Wiltshire Reablement - Empowering Independence
Reablement offers Newly Qualified level 2 Occupational Therapists the unique opportunity to work proactively with customers in their own homes, achieving greater independence. As an Occupational Therapist, you will undertake assessments to identify customer's potential to regain independence, work with customers and their families to identify changes that they would like to make and agree a plan with goals to enable them to achieve these.
The Reablement Service is led by Occupational Therapy Managers and benefits from support from our principal occupational therapist. The occupational therapy role is highly valued, and the team establishment includes newly qualified occupational therapists, assistants, occupational therapy apprentices. The service works with Bournemouth University and UWE to support students' training. Reablement at Wiltshire Council offers Occupational Therapists a unique opportunity to work in a team managed by an Occupational Therapist and in a Service that values the role and offers carer progression through support, training, and career coaching.
You will need to hold a professional qualification in Occupational Therapy or have a qualification pending. Applications will be accepted from students due to qualify in 2025.
