The Love Of My Life
It’s gone but only for a while
The love of my life, I smile
A hint of pleasure still skims my lips
I feel the texture on my finger tips
The love of my Life
Eyes light up as my heart senses
Nearby and my body tenses
I smell that aroma, perfume
It will be here, quickly, soon
The love of my Life
Without my love I would die
No joke! It’s not a lie
To live without I couldn’t do
Nor many others I’m sure too
The loves of their Life
It melts my heart, lips, tongue
Rhapsody in a soundless song
Anticipation – fear-dread
Not for me nor in my head
The love of my Life
A rustle of silk, tissue lay bare
In naked glory, it lives there
My eyes wander to the sight
In blazing sun or moonlit night
The love of my Life
No more please! I cannot wait
For temptation on a plate
My mouth trembles at that first kiss
A moment of utter bliss
The love of my Life
Warm hugs catch my heart
Where do I begin, where do I start?
Hesitantly I take the plunge
Into the hot chocolate and cream I lunge.
The love of my Life.
