We’re delighted to announce that Rest Less has now reached the significant milestone of more than 1 million members!
From day one, our community has been founded on the principle of listening to the needs and concerns of our members and then trying to find ways to help. During the pandemic, this led to a huge expansion of our online community forums to help people stay connected during a period of isolation for so many. It also led to the launch of our course finder with over 80K courses to choose from, thousands of which are free for members to learn something new – whether to upskill, retrain or simply to pursue a personal interest. We are particularly proud of the significant investment in health and mental health resources we launched during the pandemic – as people told us then, and still tell us today, that health and wellbeing is both a real challenge and also a top priority in today’s turbulent times.
We’ve also always worked hard to ensure that the voices and stories of our members are heard in the national media. Representation and advocacy of Rest Less members is absolutely vital – and the bigger our community has grown, the louder our voice has become and the bigger the difference we are able to make. So far this year, we’ve appeared in more than 700 pieces of coverage highlighting topics such as the rise in age discrimination cases in the workplace, how the gender pay gap increases with age right through to challenging negative perceptions of attitudes to climate change. For several years we have been leading conversations and calling for action on topics affecting today’s midlifers.
Whether we are one, or one million strong however, we are here to serve our members as best we can and we couldn’t do this without the unwavering support and dedication of the (small) team at Rest Less and our wider network of pioneers, friends and supporters across the UK.
And of course we could not have done any of this without the support of you, our members. Thank you for your time, support, challenge and feedback over the last few years. As we grow in number and strength, we are working hard every day to make Rest Less even better – and to find new ways to help our members thrive in these uncertain times.
