Volunteer Shop Assistant

Cats Protection

Job Description

A bit about this role

Our retail 'flair for fashion' volunteers help raise the funds needed for us to help cats and kittens in need - whether they have a passion for cats, fashion or both! They identify, price and sort saleable clothing from donated stock, and the money raised goes directly to helping our feline friends. Making a difference can mean raising as little as 18p, which is enough to feed a cat in our care for a day.

What can you expect to the doing?

  • Sorting, selecting, steaming, sizing and pricing the best clothes for sale from donated stock
  • Merchandising clothes on the shop floor
  • Creating eye-catching displays

What are the benefits to you and the cats?

You will develop new skills, expand your knowledge and make a significant contribution to improving the lives of cats and kittens by raising funds through your enthusiasm for both fashion and cats. You will also meet new people, make new friends and be part of a dedicated team of volunteers.

We're looking for someone with

  • Creativity and/or an awareness of fashion
  • An eye for quality and detail
  • Willingness to be part of a team
