Job Description

Do you want to help disabled children and their families who may be struggling to enable them to gain independence to live their lives to their full potential?

You can help us by engaging with families on our support workshops and providing support over the phone.

What will you be doing?

· Meeting and greeting families who come to learn about support strategies and tips on many of the common difficulties associated with raising a child with disabilities or autism- Meeting Sensory needs, Language and communication, Forming relationships, Supporting positive behaviour, Autism and well-being, Change and transition, Eating and nutrition, and Sleep.

· Supporting staff with the delivery of activity sessions with parents and child

· Preparing resource packs

· Responding to telephone enquiries and booking families on.

· Sending engagement emails to schools about our workshops.

What skills would be useful?

Ø Approachable with good interpersonal skills

Ø Experience with supporting children

Ø A good level of written and verbal communication.

Ø A good level of computer literacy

Ø Comfortable using a telephone
