Event Support Volunteer (Cardiff Half Marathon - 5 October 2025)

The biggest running event for Macmillan in Wales, be sure to join our lively, and super friendly, cheerpoint on Wellfield Road ready to give our runners the support they need to complete this challenging course and to raise thousands of pounds for people living with cancer. We absolutely love this event where a party atmosphere takes over the beautiful Welsh capital, so put on your green t-shirts and get ready to cheer until your voice is gone. Definitely not one to miss!

**What will you be doing?**

Cheerpoint

- Join a friendly group of volunteers to encourage our runners to the finish line.

- We will provide everything you need to make some noise and paint the path green (Macmillan tabards, cowbells, clappers, pom poms etc.)

- Can't do one of our shift times but would still like to volunteer, get in touch and we can help!

- £40,000 raised in 2024

This could support our Cancer Information and Support team to run our Macmillan Support Line phone service for 1 week. In this time, they could deal with 2,035 calls and web enquiries from people who want questions answered, need practical or financial support.

**Accessibility**

The cheerpoint is accessible by wheelchair but public transport is limited and road closures can make parking nearby difficult. Please contact us with any specific accessibility needs.
