Job Description
Parkinson's UK Ballymena and District Branch runs monthly support group meetings, activities and outings for people with, and affected by, Parkinson's - offering friendship, support and plenty of craic.
As Vice Chair of the volunteer committee in the Ballymena and District Branch you'll be a core part of the local Parkinson's community, meeting new people and making a difference.
You'll work closely with the chairperson and other volunteers to help co-ordinate activities for the group such as inviting speakers or booking outings and help at the meetings to offer a friendly welcome and support to people attending.
This role will need a commitment of 3-4 hours per week, which are flexible, as well as attending a monthly committee meeting, followed by the support group meeting every 3rd Friday afternoon of the month in the Ballymena North Business Ctre, Cushendall Road, Ballymena.
The current volunteer team is very friendly and welcoming and this is a perfect role if you are well organised and enjoy meeting people. You also need to be comfortable using email and accessing the internet.
