Job Description
We need volunteers to help with our general administration, but also to support the Secretary in making sure PCE complies with statutory and regulatory requirements and best practice.
General administrative tasks include collating statistics, organising volunteer rotas, dealing with applications to be volunteers and pantry members, filing etc The general administration role will be based on site
Support for the Secretary could include taking minutes at Trustee Meetings, being aware of changes in legislation, drafting policies and other documents including the Annual Return, chasing action points, ensuring all risk management and other documents are kept up to date and reviewed etc. Prior experience of this sort of role would be helpful but training can be given. Most of this role can be done remotely.
Poole Community Exchange CIO (PCE) has a vision of an inclusive community where everyone is welcome, and everyone can share their gifts and meet their needs. There are 2 main projects - Poole Pantry and the Community Living Room and Kitchen. Poole Pantry provides food at a fraction of the retail price to those on a low income. It is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11.45 until 1.15
The Community Living Room and Kitchen is a warm welcome space with activities and provides freshly cooked meals to all in return for a suggested donation. The Community meals are served Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12.15.
Activities include knit, crochet and natter, games, coffee morning, art group and tai chi. Tea, coffee and cake is available for a donation, and there is free Wifi and a space to chat.
