Job Description

You will play a critical role in enhancing our online presence. You will be responsible for consistently posting engaging content ensuring that our social media aligns with our mission of empowering vulnerable children.

What will you be doing?

Location: Remote

Hours: 2-4 hours a week (depending on workload and availability)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Content Creation & Posting: Develop and post compelling content on BMF's Instagram and LinkedIn profiles weekly. Ensure all posts resonate with our mission and are aligned with BMF's voice and values.
  2. Social Media Calendar Management: Take charge of maintaining and adhering to BMF's social media calendar. Plan, schedule, and ensure timely weekly delivery of posts across both platforms, keeping content relevant and engaging.
  3. Social Media Engagement: Foster meaningful interactions with followers on Instagram and LinkedIn. Respond to comments and messages and encourage community engagement to build relationships with our audience.
  4. Branding and Visual Consistency: Ensure that all social media posts reflect BMF's visual identity and brand guidelines. Maintain consistency in messaging across platforms to strengthen BMF's brand recognition.
  5. Audience Insights: Regularly analyse engagement metrics to assess the success of posts, and optimize strategies based on audience insights and performance data.
  6. Collaboration and Campaign Support: Work closely with the BMF team to support digital marketing campaigns, events, and initiatives that align with our mission.

What are we looking for?

Requirements:

  1. Proactive and Independent:
    • Must be a highly proactive individual who takes ownership of managing and posting on Instagram and LinkedIn consistently, without the need for constant supervision.
    • Ability to plan ahead and ensure that posts are scheduled and aligned with the broader social media strategy.
  2. Social Media Expertise:
    • Proven experience managing and posting content on Instagram and LinkedIn.
    • Knowledge of best practices for engagement, content creation, and growth on both platforms.
  3. Organized and Detail-Oriented:
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain and adhere to a social media calendar.
    • Detail-oriented with a knack for managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  4. Creative and Strategic:
    • Creative mindset to generate engaging, original content that aligns with BMF's mission and values.
    • Ability to think strategically and plan content to optimize audience engagement.
  5. Skills in Content Creation:
    • Proficiency in graphic design tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar software to create eye-catching visuals for posts.
    • Excellent written communication skills for crafting compelling captions and messages that resonate with the audience.
  6. Passion for the Cause:
    • Genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children and a commitment to promoting BMF's mission through creative communication strategies.
  7. Work Environment:
    • Comfortable working remotely, with the ability to independently manage tasks and deadlines while collaborating with the team.
