Job Description
We are looking for a volunteer to help us set-up and run a CRM system (specialist charity dedicated). CRM use will be 'from scratch' and the volunteer will be the CRM expert on the team.
What will you be doing?
Lyme Resource Centre (LRC) is a charity with a mission to minimise risk of Lyme disease whilst enjoying the outdoors, by educating the public and health professionals about ticks and Lyme disease. Lyme disease is an infection passed to humans by the bite of an infected tick. Lyme disease is treatable with antibiotics, but if diagnosis and treatment are delayed or missed then it can potentially cause long term health problems.
LRC is a young but growing charity - our existing team are based across the UK and work remotely. We are about to commission a CRM system (specialist charity dedicated) to better manage communication with our stakeholders (donors, health professionals, public), manage donations and over time evolve as needed.
We are looking for a volunteer to help us set-up and run a CRM system - we have commissioned a charity consultant to help us shortlist a CRM provider. The CRM use will be 'from scratch' and the volunteer will be the CRM expert on the team.
And once in place, the pace of CRM evolution will be shaped by the CRM volunteer in liaison with the charity team and Trustees.
What are we looking for?
Previous experience of setting-up a CRM system - configuration, roll-out, training
Previous experience of evolution, development of a CRM system
Able to work closely with a small, close-knit team (12-15 people)
Flexible, creative and able to set own agenda, timeline
Motivated to make a difference in this health area, high integrity
Note that the charity team can advise, bring subject matter (ticks, Lyme disease, stakeholders, donors etc.) expertise as required
What difference will you make?
Your expertise will help us effectively set-up, use and evolve a CRM system
Your input will shape how we present ourselves to our stakeholders, funders and general public.
You will help us achieve our mission - with your help we will be able to better educate others about the risks from tick bites and awareness
You will help us establish regular communications with stakeholders, especially donors, to enhance LRC fundraising (which in turn allows us to do more)
You can help our Treasurer manage donations more efficiently, including GiftAid
You can help us ensure we adhere to data privacy laws
You can help us decide how to evolve use of CRM, for the benefit of charity team (e.g. profile donors)
Before you apply
Please apply through Reach in the first instance or to ask any further questions.
For applicants who most closely meet requirements, likely next steps for application would be a discussion interview (Zoom) with one of our Trustees, then a further discussion interview (Zoom) with two Trustees.
Its important to use that we get the right person to join our team rather than meet a deadline (hence a long closing date). At the same time, we are keen to progress with CRM as soon as possible.
