Job Description
By volunteering as an Editorial Volunteer, you'll be responsible for writing & sharing engaging online content/ newsletters, while making a real difference to people's lives providing vital help & support at a time when they need it most.
What will you be doing?
- Writing and sending engaging internal and external newsletters for volunteers and the general public
- Writing engaging website copy, including news articles and blog posts
- Supporting others to contribute copy for communications, especially in helping to reach new audiences
What are we looking for?
The skills you need:
- Excellent written communication skills
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, Mailchimp and Wordpress
- Experience of data management and understanding of data protection
- Organised and able to complete tasks accurately with good attention to detail
- Ability to listen and engage with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences
- Ability to get on with others and be part of a team as well as completing tasks independently
- A willingness to learn about our organisation and our place within the Trussell Trust and align to our campaigns
