Finance Support & Bookeeping

We are seeking a volunteer to share their time and knowledge to help us with the day to day bookkeeping and financial systems of the organisation, prepare reports for the board and helping to improve financial process.

We are seeking a volunteer to share their time and knowledge to help us with the day to day bookkeeping of the organisation and helping to improve financial systems, monitoring, budgets and reporting. Duties will include:

• Maintaining accurate and thorough financial records
• Organising digital copies of receipts and expenses
• Raising invoices in Quickbooks Online
• Working with the Managing Director on budget monitoring and reporting
• Month end close downs

Experience of working with charitable organisations and reporting finances to funders would be an advantage but not essential.

Experience of reporting to funders, spreadsheets, accounting software - we use Quickbooks and DEXT though experience of other platforms would also be beneficial, experience of preparing and reporting to boards, managing budgets, setting up/improving financial processes.

We are a non profit organisation with multiple income streams and grant funding. This will be a great opportunity to get hands on with a small organisation, whilst also bringing existing knowledge to improve their own skills or pass on skills to our small team.

You input will allow the managing director to be released from some of our day-to-day operations, such as finance and administration to focus on business development and strategic leadership, developing new services.
